A little more about Olivia
Olivia’s practice is primarily collage and painting. Her work explores the intertwined themes of women, food, and sexuality, blending humour, surrealism, and vibrant colour to challenge traditional narratives around female desire and appetite. Her collages often combine images of women from vintage magazines with oversized foods, creating playful, surreal scenes set in regal interiors or embedded into nature. In her watercolour and ink pieces, fruits and vegetables take on the role of sex symbols, drawn in pin-up poses that embody glamour and desire.
Her work is influenced by her youth in the South of France, where Mediterranean food, colour, and a playful lifestyle shaped her visual language. Olivia’s pieces aim to replace shame and objectification with celebration, humour, and a fresh perspective on female sexuality.
Olivia has exhibited widely, including A Hot Minute’s exhibition in Canada, The Alchemy Experiment in Glasgow, and Ripe Beings in London. Solo shows include Bites and Pieces in Italy and Fruit Drawers in Monaco.
To read more about her practice, Olivia has been featured several written articles such as Create! Magazine in 2024, Elephant Magazine in 2019, and Porridge Magazine 2022.
